The Skis
We operate a fleet of ten Seadoo GTI 130 jet skis. Both the tour and hire aspects of our business are permitted to operate up to six jet skis at a time, that’s five customer jet skis and a lead jet ski for our guides.
On our guided tours, you’ll discover the best of Magnetic Island with expert guidance, while our supervised hires let you explore at your own pace. Our jet skis are exceptionally comfortable and perfectly suited to the conditions we typically experience around Maggie. The hull design offers excellent stability, making it ideal for beginners, while still giving experienced riders the freedom to enjoy tricks like skidding, sliding, and spinning.
Before you head out, we’ll provide a comprehensive briefing on how to optimise your ski experience and familiarise you with our hire area and equipment. Our expansive 2km square hire zone is the largest freestyle area on the East Coast of Australia, offering a great mix of freedom and safety.
Based at Horseshoe Bay, which is well protected from most winds and rough swells, we offer an ideal environment for both novice and seasoned riders. Whether you’re looking for a leisurely sightseeing adventure or a more playful experience, our products are carefully matched to the conditions and tailored to our customers.
And Us
Hi there! We’re Andrew and Ash. We took over Jet Ski Hire Magnetic Island in 2014, moving here from Brisbane in search of a quieter, more connected lifestyle. One of the things we love most about the island is that many businesses here are owner operated. When you choose to jet ski with us, you’re dealing directly with the people who care most about your experience, us! On any given day, at least one of us will be involved in your adventure (usually both!) ensuring it’s nothing short of exceptional.
In 2024, we expanded to Jet Ski tours after our beach neighbours, Magnetic Jet, decided to semi-retire following an impressive 30 years in business.
We’re also fortunate to have an incredible team of locals. On weekends and during school holidays, you’re likely to meet Max and Josh, who’ll be helping you on and off your skis, assisting with your beach swap-outs, and all in all making sure you’re having an absolute blast!

Our little boys, Archer and Hayes, joined the crew in 2019 and 2022. You'll often find them hanging out at the beach with us. We consider ourselves incredibly fortunate to live this life and spend our days doing what we love. Customer service and satisfaction are our pride, so we provide a thorough safety brief and teach you all about our Seadoo Jet Skis. Once you're confident, and we're confident, you're out on the water!
We thrive on sharing the excitement and high fives and can't wait to get you out there. Being part of the Maggie community is a joy, and we love sharing our favourite spots and hidden gems with our hires. We also run 'This Is Magnetic Island,' where we showcase more of Magnetic Island to the world and support local businesses.
When we're not busy with Jetskis and This Is Magnetic Island, you'll catch us working on our dream home or exploring the island (Archer is obsessed with climbing mountains, known as Hawkings Point and The Sphinx).
